Natural Value Report

Demonstrating value and change

The Natural Value Report presents locally specific information to demonstrate both the environmental value of the area and the value of the area’s environment. It starts to identify the financial value of some aspects of our environment and can help ensure that it is valued in practical terms, and not treated as a free and unlimited resource.

The first report was published in 2014 and a review was published in 2022 and launched at the Annual Forum in March 2022.

Data in the report

Dorset LNP and its partner organisations have tried hard to ensure that the information in this report is as up to date and relevant as possible. Suggestions and updates are very welcome and can be emailed to info@dorsetlnp.org.uk.

The review began in 2017 but was delayed due to capacity and the pandemic.  Dorset LNP is grateful to all the many organisations and individuals who provided information towards this report and assisted in its production. Particular thanks go to Keziah Rookes and volunteers Dr Jonathan Krieger and Andrew Woodcock for their considerable work in collating and analysing the data, since the start of the review.
